Frequently Asked Questions

To create work, family, and life balance, we’ve created a list of FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.  Please refer to this list before sending an email. Words are bolded and capitalized to help you find an answer to your query.

  • If you’d like to be an ORGANIZER for an IMPLICIT PSYCHOTHERAPY workshop, please send an email to info@abiblakeslee.com, and we will email you information about the process.  Or if you are organizing an Implicit Psychotherapy workshop, we will respond soon.

  • If you are interested in booking a CONFERENCE, WEBINAR, NEWSPAPER, or PODCAST, please allow two weeks for Dr. Blakeslee to respond.  She works internationally and may need extra time to correspond.

  • LOG CONFIRMATION emails take up to TWO WEEKS from the time of your group case consultation to process.  If you have waited for longer than two weeks, please feel free to contact Carmen at info@abiblakeslee.com, and we will get one to you.

  • ZOOM LINK information for Group Case consultations and demos will be sent ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT.

  • If you are an ASSISTANT looking for approval for sessions or consultations and you have been Abi’s student or assistant, please submit your request.  These tend to be sent if approved the Friday after your email is read.  Please be patient for emails to be read immediately since Dr. Blakeslee is teaching regularly and tending to family needs.

  • Dr. Blakeslee is not taking on NEW CLIENTS and does not have a waiting list.

  • Abi's INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATIONS tend to fill up almost immediately when she releases new dates, and at this time, she does not have any openings.

  • You may be able to work with her during demonstration days or volunteer webinars for educational purposes.  You can volunteer if you are an SE student or SEP and participate during a demo day.  Or if an SE student or SEP is working with you and presents your case, you could also be chosen for a volunteer session.  There will be some opportunities to do session work recorded for educational purposes for yourselves or people you know.  Please read the newsletters, and times for volunteers will be announced there.

  • If you need a REFERRAL, please visit the practitioner directory at www.traumahealing.org. Due to the high level of referral requests, we trust the website will be a good location to find SE practitioners worldwide. Abi is not offering specific referrals.

  • If you are a DEMO VOLUNTEER, we will email you if you’ve been chosen and set up a technical check to make sure your technology is working before the group meets.

  • Please look at Dr. Blakeslee’s website under ARTICLES, PODCASTS, AND PUBLICATIONS for REFERENCE MATERIALS.  Books and articles about Somatic Psychology can also be found through the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP).
